Part of the Fitzgeralds chain of traditional pubs this is everything you'd expect - patterned carpets, raised seating areas, fancy light pendants, a pool table, and a big wooden bar serving the full range of drinks including real ales. A small doorway leads to a second room which is decorated with a nautical theme.

Stopped going in when they took the Stella out. Also my mate was always complaining they seemed to have every cask beer in the world except for his favourite tipple Samson. Lambton Worm regulars now at least they stock l Stella and Wearside cask beers.

as a real ale drinker this pubs beer is spot on, try it out even belfs hairs gone gray serving the real ale in the citys no1 pub

Good pub, used to start my nights off there back in 1999 when I was 19. Don't go in there much now, but thats not through choice though, normally my mates go straight past it. Good memories though.

If your going for drinks in Sunderland city center go here and then the white room, everywhere else is... well, not as good.
